R A M M S T E I N @ O2 LONDON

Yes yes i know it's only February, BUT, NOTHING..and i mean NOTHING will beat the RAMMSTEIN "MADE IN GERMANY TOUR" gig, i saw last week at the O2..simply..stunning, musically and visually...standing about 30 yards from the stage, near the sound desk, and had the band play 3 songs on the middle stage RIGHT behind me, and had "Flake" the keyboardist dinghy surf..yep..surf the crowd ON A DINGHY, and had him and the dinghy go right over the top of me..quality..fookin quality...also, haven't headbanged so much for years..thought i'd broke my neck!!!!...BEST GIG FOR YEARS..!!!!

I know it will cheese many off that I say it will take a lot to top the Noel Gallagher gig from last week...i'll put my full fb review on at some point (when I can upload it!).

Played 9/10ths of the HFB album, plus additional tracks and a new track. The old Oasis songs were generally reworked (to the point I didn't recognise (It's Good To Be) Free), he sung Liam vocals as well as his own. And the 30-strong choir used on 4/5 tracks was spinetingling - On The Run, best live performance and I'm only 4 gigs into the year.

If anything is better than Ren Harvieu at the Ruby Lounge this past Monday I will be utterly astounded.

So far, Sena Ehrhardt Band. Saw them in my hometown pub. Tonight, they are up for the "Best New Artist" American Blues Music Awards on Sirius/XM.

I agree that this show was amazing, awesome, stunning and...and I can not find the words to describe how great it really was! I hope that some day I will be able to visit their show again and feel the same emotions of pure joy and happiness!

Well....now there is no doubt...THE BEST GIG OF 2012...IS QUEEN & ADAM LAMBERT

QUEEN & ADAM LAMBERT @ HAMMERSMITH APOLLO, 12th JULY 2012

Come on people..YOU knew this would be my fav gig of the year..surely?...

This wasn't just good..this was fooking EPIC...

and, Adam Lambert is a brilliant vocalist and performer, and has energised the band again...

The stiring's of FLASH were played out to the sold out , and excited crowd, over the speakers, and a huge curtain, with the Queen crest was covering the stage...then..boom, down came the curtain as his Lordship, Brian May, cranked out the chords to the classic SEVEN SEA'S OF RHYE...and then straight into KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE and the fast version of WE WILL ROCK YOU...this is immense..and Adam's vocals are Freddie like..Brian and the boys are on top form, and the crowd is going crazy...Adam asks if anyone has a fat bottom..an into the extended, original version of FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS, then the phenomenally popular DON'T STOP ME NOW..just brilliant..at this point my voice is beginning to feel it after singing word for word with everyone else..do i care?..no fookin' way..this is too awesome to worry about a sore throat..!!
Then the legend himself, Mr Roger Taylor, joins Adam on stage, and the pair duet to UNDER PRESSURE, then the brilliant I WANT IT ALL, when they tone it down, for Adam to show how good he is, with an exceptional WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER...a few tears were shed by fans, for Freddie during that one, i can tell you..
Adam leave's the stage, and Roger sings A KIND OF MAGIC, and a poignant THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES...with the big screen showing the band in their younger days..there's a massive roar when Freddie is shown on the screen..moving and brilliant..and more tears shed by fans..brought a lump to my throat..we still miss Freddie..
The band leave the stage, and Brian is left on his own, to do an acoustic set...we start of with the crowd singing SOMEBODY TO LOVE, quality..then Brian , well the crowd then sing LOVE OF MY LIFE, and on the big screen, Freddie appears and sings the last verse..the crowd going wild..this is brillaint stuff..Roger joins Brian, and they and us, sing '39..quality..just fookin quality..
Adam and the band come back on stage for DRAGON ATTACK, then Roger and his son Rufus, whose playing percussion and drums, have a drum battle..epic..and then Brian comes back on stage, where he plays part of LOST HORIZON, which becomes the BRIGHTON ROCK guitar solo..the man is GOD...
The band come back on stage, and into I WANT TO BREAK FREE, then ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST, and RADIO GAGA..do i need to tell you how in sync the clapping was for this..?..no..thought not..
Then into CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE, and wonderful version of THE SHOW MUST GO ON..then into the greatest song ever BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, which included Freddie singing..this was just monumental...wonderful..majestic..
The band go off to a massive roar from the crowd, who are going nuts...!!
A few minutes later, the band re-emerge to a deafening reception, and go straight into TIE YOUR MOTHER DOWN, then WE WILL ROCK YOU, and ending with WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS...
Quite simply, they are back..they are re-energised, thanks to the fronting by Adam Lambert, who i have to say was excellent..
THEY ARE THE GREATEST EVER..I AM STILL IN AWE..
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN..

It was Metric at Shepherds Bush for a little while but now the best gig of 2012 was Paul Simon at Hard Rock Calling, Hyde Park. Just magic.
