JST released her second album. She is one of the hardest working axe players trying to make her way in the highly critical blues genre. I think she is awesome and here is a scorching sample.

This album sounds even better Andy. Sadly she is having to compete in a very limited genre and her ability is way beyond joining a band as their lead (she is best suited to front her own band, but then has to compete with a number of top blues guitarists out there.) I hope she toughs it out. She has gotten support from Bonnie Raitt and Eric Clapton to some extent.

Bet you didn't know she relocated to Detroit, Michigan as well? I'm somewhat confused by this but I bet there is either a boyfriend or manager involved (or both.)

That might be a good thing, I don't think there's a huge audience for blues here in the UK but I get the impression it's a bit different on the other side of the pond? And yeah I agree that she'd be wasted in a band - really not something I could imagine!

There is plenty of blues fans over here because it's strategically placed between rock and country. But you won't ever hear good blues played on the top rock or country stations and blues only stations are not mainstream.

After thinking about it some, I think she will do well in Detroit because it's a great music town and isn't flooded with blues artists like Chicago or Memphis.
