Oh well, you could do with new friends! You could catch up with me there.

Just saw them tonight! Know exactly what you mean!

3 reasons why I love Metric more:
-Emily was singing "my my hey hey, rock'n'roll is here to stay" and "hey hey my my, rock'n'roll will never die" (from the Neil Young song) just before they did Gimme Sympathy
-Her talk about wondering whether it is possible to change the world for the better
-Combat Baby done acoustic at the end was so sweet.

Thanks for the tip off about Later. Managed to catch Metric on the iplayer. Still really chuffed about getting to the Koko gig - it was really fantastic. Am waiting for my double CD version of Fantasies to arrive now!

I went to a free concert when i was in New York and they headlined. It. Was. EPIC!

I've become a big fan after seeing them in May. Given how great the music is I'm surprised they don't have a larger following... on the other hand they did sell out Terminal 5 in NYC so at least in east they seem to be catching on.

I know, it's bizarre. Even I, who has a general disdain for any band formed post-1990, can see they're great. What more could people want from a band?

Just got into "Metric" while researching some Canadian Bands. New Album is excellent. And all those preceding it pretty hot as well. Shades of Blondie & Goldfrapp type vibes on a few tracks. .. Deff a Cut above average. Playing "Synthetica" at the Moment. ie Canada has some hot bands rocking out at the present. "Mother Mother" being another of my hot Fancies. :D
