I attended two concerts (2008 & 2010) and both were fantastic!
On this 2010 tour Jarre performs a selection of his best tracks. Expect really breathtaking special effects (esp. lasers)...

JEAN MICHEL JARRE IS THE GOD OF ELECTRONICA.....An amazing wondrous gig at the O2 last night..just bloody awesome..the man IS a genius...simply brilliant...Oxygene, Equinox, Rendezvous, magnetic fields etc etc..quality quality quality...

he came onto the stage by walking with his band from the back of the lower tier all the way through the crowd, high fiving the blokes and kissing the ladies...and once on stage, a quick hello, and into OXYGENE 2...if you're gonna start a gig start it with anything from Oxygene...then the hits kept a coming...when he was doing Rendezvous 2 and 4 the crowd were on their feet, cheering clapping, and it basically stayed that way through the end of the main gig, and through both encores..pretty cool really...it was an experience, and the man is just a legend.

SETLIST.

Oxygène 2
Magnetic Fields 1
Equinoxe 7
Equinoxe 5
Rendez-vous 3
Magnetic Fields 2
Souvenirs de Chine
Oxygène 5
Variation 3
Theremin Piece
Equinoxe 4
Industrial Revolution 2
Rendez-vous 2
Rendez-vous 4
Chronologie 6
Chronologie 2

Encore:
Oxygène 4
Oxygène 12

Encore 2:
Calypso 3

Some piccies..sorry i have a shitty camera...but i was well close to the stage..and it was one of the loudest concerts i've ever been to..my ears still hurt... :D

I was waiting for your report...

I'm glad you enjoyed it! :smt023

Excellent setlist! (Although he hasn't performed Chronologie 4) 8)

And good pics. :smt023 You were very close to stage indeed... What track did he perform with laser harp? :smt017

Not the greatest report, but the laser show was amazing (obviously), and the music was perfect, but loud, you wouldn't believe how loud..you literally shook in your seat..incredible..

anyway..laser harp used on Rendezvous 3 and 2 (i think) and that was something to see...

It was a great concert, isn't? :smt023
Jarre performed the usual setlist. Still no Chronologie 4...

Anyway...
1. There is an "official" video stream with the whole concert (shot in B/W - pirate video style): http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/10125403

2. Some nice pics: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2 ... 336344f94c

Thanks for the pics Alin! :smt023

I can imagine the loud sound (much more notorious indoors)... 8) Despite of not performing Chronologie 4 (one of my favourites), the setlist is great :smt023

I can't watch the stream... Also i tried yesterday... :?

I hope he comes to South America for the first time next year (he promised it in his blog...)

Mauro

UPDATE: I can see the stream now! :D :D :D

Nobody here? I don't mind...

ON MARCH 22, 2018 (almost 10 years after starting this thread)... MY DREAM CAME TRUE.

I SAW JEAN-MICHEL JARRE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER AT LUNA PARK STADIUM, BUENOS AIRES.

EPIC. AWESOME. UNFORGETTABLE.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. :smt026
