Brilliant four part interview with Geddy Lee & Alex Lifeson on youtube. Positive vibes for a new studio album. Interview from December 2005.

'Rush - Replay', best ever DVD release IMO of different stages of Rush's live career released on the 17th of July. Three DVDs & CD. Exit Stage Left, Grace Under Pressure, and A Show Of Hands.

I used to love Rush! Xanadu ..ahhh ..brings back some (very distant!) memories :D I was thinking about them recently when I saw Billy Talent at Give it a Name. The singer's voice reminded me of Geddy Lee. Might have to dig out the old albums!

I remember Rush from years ago (mid 80's)....when i was on a Boys Brigade camping trip when i was little all the "older cool guys" (at that time)
had the old getto blaster & a tape of Rush live......got to hang out with them & listened to the tape all week :D
only recenlty downloaded "Spirit of Radio" from itunes
just a brilliant song & brings back some good childhood memories.

I highly recommend Rush Replay. The three era DVDs (plus 1 CD) are superb and there's comment between songs from the guys about how they feel about aspects of the songs or what they thought about the tours at the time. There's also A5 sized programmes in the package from the relevant tours. Superb!

Facking hell 'Snakes & Arrows' is a cracking album. Anyone in any doubt after Vapor Trails should dispel any such thoughts. It could become one of their best ever IMO!

I've literally just been playing the "Far Cry" single again, and wondering if I should take a punt on the whole album. I was into Rush between 84 and 91 - have all the studio albums from that era - and also the Spirit Of Radio compilation that came out a few years back. For some reason I stopped getting their stuff after Roll The Bones (which I liked, so that's not the reason haha :smt017 ).

EG.
