Did KT Rose support the Calling then?

And I had tickets for the Subways gig in Manchester that they cancelled and that is the rescheduled date, but I'm boycotting it. :D

Hey Griffarty I just did a gig last Friday with Amplifico at Leicester Firefly. They were great,Donna kind of reminded me of KT on a keyboard..very quirky and imaginative and lovely people too..

My last four gigs:

Crosby Stills and Nash Birimingham NIA 22.6

Patti Smith performs Horses/John Cale London Royal Festival Hall 25.6

Patti Smith presents Songs of Experience with Jeff Beck/Flea/Tom Verlaine/Joanna Newsone/Yat-Kha etc London Royal Festival Hall 26.6

Crosby Stills and Nash London Hammersmith Apollo 28.6

Plus two gigs that I played at in my native Leicester, the one with Amplifico and Tell Tale Hearts at Firefly 24.5 and an afternoon one of just me in Leicester on the 25.6 where I dashed out gone 5 after a 2 hour set onto a train to get to the Patti Smith Horses show in London by 7.30!

Next 4:

Van Der Graf Generator on July 9th and the three days of Summer Sundae all at De Montfort Hall Leicester August 12-14th(where I get to SEE KT at last - if not before????)..Sure there'll be something else between all that but dunno what yet..

They have reformed with the original line-up!

Peter had a heart attack not long ago but has made a great recovery - he feels that proves the point that it was now or never to reform the band.

They even have a new album out!

ha ha - I just looked for a review of the new album, and found this description of what VDGG sound like:

Look, imagine this. There's Peter Gabriel singing opera, backed up by Keith Emerson, with John Coltrane improvising, while Bill Bruford is playing drums..but they're all really pissed off because they've had no sleep for a week, and they've just been attacked by a nutter on the way over..and there's something REALLY IMPORTANT they want to tell you...

Theres two CDs,the second is all improvised music.
As out there ae ever..
I adore "The Quiet zone/The Pleasure Dome" album, the one with Grahame Smith on violin - "The habit of the broken heart" is the best song ever written about trying to stop a lovely young woman from becoming a nun!
