Saw Ingrid in the Hamptons of NY's Long Island...yeah, the place where Martha Stewart lives...last night. Well posh with all kinds of pretty people...LOL...but she was awesome! Teeny tiny little bar...lots of pretty people in over-priced clothes. The beer was cheap, however, and they played a great show. Also did the punk version of The Way I Am AND Toxic with full dance routine, and it was awesome. The day was gorgeous, the beach was fabulous, the people were that plastic fabulous, and the whole experience was a bit surreal...good times, however.

Some funny tweets from her today-

Written on the bag was "friends don't let friends leave Texas w/o Chick-Fil-A!"

Oh, that's funny! And her song... :smt023

I'm trying to decide if I want to see her this fall in a crappy venue near me on a Thursday, or an awesome venue 3 hours away on a Saturday. :? (Or, really, if I have the funds to do either. I'm sure there's a KT tour I need to save for. )

Go see her at the crappy venue show, ST (what venue?). The small shows are especially fun. :)

It's the Showbox SODO, Mis. It will probably be fine with Ingrid's audience, but it was most decidedly NOT fine when I went there for Seether and was nearly crushed by testosteroned teenagers.

Hi ST. I saw Ingrid at a small venue - rather like an industrial archeology site, a basement with ancient girders and huge bolts in the ceiling - Academy 2. I was slightly late arriving and the audience were all sitting on the floor in front of the stage. (Last time I tried that I was so stiff afterwards that I could not stand up and was stageering about and people thought I had overindulged!) It was a most enjoyable evening and I really enjoyed the gig.

A basement?! How cool, G!! It must have been a surprise to see everyone sitting on the floor. It sounds like it was a fun, intimate gig.

Oh Academy 2 is an awwwwful venue LP :smt009 the artist has to be good for me to go there  and the stage is basically same level as where you stand  if I'm not at the front I would see only other people's backs! But yeah, if the artist was good enough I would go even there :p
