Good on ya Zed for liking volleyball - I think it's a great sport although I haven't played it for years! I think I would have liked to have been a pro beach volleyball player (oops midlife crisis comment slips in there! :P ) So how about a spot of beach volleyball when we're at that fest in Whitby??!! :P

Woohoo - bring it on Andy! Me and you v's Helen and Debs?? 8)

I do really love vb - I played indoor for NSW when I was at school (setter - due to my diminutive stature!) and continued to play competitively until I left Oz 8 years ago. I'd love to just play socially one night a week now, but haven't really found anywhere suitable in Glasgow.

I was thinking more like I'll partner Karen Matheson (or Karine Polwart) and you can have Charlie McKerron on your team!!!! Seriously though - the two of us could take on all comers: what do ya reckon??!! :P

Hope you manage to find somewhere to play in Glasgow.

Location: Chinatown/Soho border, London, England
Name: Paddy - surname, that'd be telling.

Age: 38. I think. Or is it 39? Not 40 yet, anyway!

Gender: Lesbian trapped in a man's body.

Location: deskbound, London.

Marital Status: As good as married - maybe it'll happen this year!

Moto: Guzzi. Actually, Aprilia, but 2 Italian wheels, anyway. And 4 German ones.

Favourite Artists: Where to start!? Kate Bush, KT Tunstall, Neil Young, Nick Cave, Damien Rice, pre 1980 Genesis, Joseph Beuys, Paul Klee...

Favourite TV shows: Desperate Housewives, Shameless, City Gardener, Big Brother (oh, but I hate myself for watching!)

Favourite Movies: 2001, Blade Runner, Waking Life, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Spirited Away, Totoro (and anything from Ghibli/Miyazaki), Toy Story (and anything from Pixar)...

Favourite Quotes:"You wait for fate to bring about the changes in life which you should be bringing about by yourself" Douglas Coupland

Favourite Sports: None really. Watch football, go skiiing every few years. Ho hum. Binge drinking, probably.

This or that - That.

Pepsi or Coca Cola: Pepsi for underdogness against Coke, but would prefer a fair trade local alternative beverage.

Birthday or Christmas: Christmas, though it's generally a bit of a let down. One makes the effort, you know, but others generally disappoint.

Sea or swimming pool: Sea, definitely. Big waves to tumble you around!

Pen or pencil: Pencil. A fear of commitment I suppose!

Quilt or Sheets: Quilt on top, sheet underneath.

Sun or Snow: Snow, if you are talking holidays. Beach holidays are over-rated. But preferably both. I'd rather be somewhere cold that somewhere unbearably hot.

Inside or outside: Outside, but I don't often put that into action...

Milk, white or dark chocolate: White, then dark, then milk. But it's all good, babe.
