WHAT AN EVENING...BRILLIANT..SUPERB..AND WHAT A BRILLIANT VENUE

Anyway, got there about 45 minutes before doors, and found myself 7th..yes 7th in the queue!!..unbelievable!!..

The door's opened and i find myself right at the front of the stage...now..how do i describe the stage..it was as high as my knees..and literally about 3 foot from the band....yep..intimate is was..The Tabernacle is now one of my fav venue's..

First up was a band called HAUNT THE WOODS..excellent choice of support..to me they were very prog rock, very early Opeth but without the growling lyric's..really good, and worth checking out..nice guys too.

So, KT..oh my..on stage she came with her new band, and there she was wearing some really cool silver trousers..and looking good..so straight into FADE LIKE A SHADOW, to get us going, and then the excellent IF ONLY..crowd already in sing along mode..LITTLE FAVOURS was follwed by two new songs, ALL OR NOTHING and EVIL EYE..and to be honest..her best work for a loooooong time..trust me the new album is going to be superb!..then OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD, and INVISIBLE EMPIRE, into a chat about Game of Thrones and tits!!!!!..yep.....and a BRILLIANT..BLACK HORSE AND THE CHERRY TREE..just THE song...superb...another new song, RUN ON HOME, into FEEL IT ALL, then two more new songs, i believe she said from an EP she's releasing next month, and not on the album MAYBE IT'S A GOOD THING and HARD GIRLS..then..SAVING MY FACE and a wonderful SUDDENLY I SEE..and she and the band, who i must say are great, then left the stage.

She came back on for the encore, which was FUNNYMAN and AIN'T NOBODY, but that was it, due to the strict curfew of 10pm...

KT is back..brilliantly on form, and as the only guitarist in the band, excellent lead guitarist..impressed...a new tour in the autumn, she told me, so looking forward to that..but she's back folk's and back in a big way..!

ME AND KT..

ANDY!!

I just came on here to go and write my own gig report as I found my old ones in my mailbox the other day and just had such a good laugh reading them back... And then against all expectations... There's more people still writing gig reports!! LOVE IT.

Brilliant pic of the two of you, and see you've put the poor gal straight back to work on your 'admin'

Now... Gonna be off making my own thread then :D
