Ticketmaster are the dogs *beep* - their ticket reselling activities and how they make their unscrupulous profits should be exposed - as bad as a Pay Day Lender - they will pocketing the cash for sure.

I paid £7.80 for postage for Bruce Springsteen tickets. I expect Bruce Springsteen to turn up at my door for that price, tickets in hand.

I had to pay a £12 processing fee to them once. The ticket was only £14 but only sold through them so in total i paid £26. MADDENING!!!!

KT will absolutely NOT see the profit from this!

Unfortunately because of their commercial size they get themselves into position as the sole ticket provider - the worst aspect of Ticketmaster is that they keep tickets back - and then sell them at grossly inflated prices on sister web sites - Get Me In is one such site - bunch of crooks if u ask me!

I've seen a gig sell out before (not KT) at 9:06 and they offer tickets at 4 x the price instantly on Get Me In when it tells you they're sold out from general sale. RIDICULOUS.

I have just had an e mail this morning from Brighton Dome Box Office advising me that KT's management advised them she will be appearing solo - that is to say no band - which changes what KT's management have previously advised Brighton Dome.

And Brighton Dome are offering refunds due to the promoter changing the nature of the show.

She is still playing Brighton Dome - but as tickets were sold on the basis it was KT and her band - and her promoter has now said it is KT solo - people who bought tickets on the basis it was a band show can obtain a refund if they want a refund.

It's the venue that told you she was with a band so it's kind of their fault. But it's hardly false advertising as KT is a solo artist. It's not as though you bought tickets for U2 and then found out "oh by the way, its just Bono!".

I don't understand the point your making - I have not asked for a refund - Brighton Dome have offered me a refund because I specificlly asked them the nature of the show ( solo or band) before I bought a ticket - and I was advised by Brighton Dome band - they e mailed me yesterday to say the promoter has now advised the show is solo - Brighton Dome are not offering everyone a refund - I maybe the only one! - KT ordinarily appears with a band - if she is solo on this tour then it is only proper punters are told this before they buy a ticket - as other artists do.

The point I'm making is that KT is a solo artist. A band is not a givein.

I don't agree with your point - I have seen her three times nrever solo - I think I am correct in saying that for most of her tours since her first CD she has appeared with a band - so the expectation is when tickets go on sale for her concerts that she will appear with a band - other artists who ordinarily appear with a band but are solo for a particular tour always say so when the tickets go on sale - there is a legal doctrine known as false representation.

:| When I buy a ticket for KT Tunstall the only thing I'm expecting for sure is KT Tunstall. The rest is up to her. She's done solo plenty of times so it's not like this is that unexpected. Besides that her band changes and as it is now is a completely different line up from when she started. Unless you're actually a fan of a specific band member I don't see the problem. I've seen her six times, once solo and I didn't think "wtf KT, where's your band?". She's a solo artist. I'm just there to see her, whatever way she chooses to make the show.

I agree with Eims.

And also I take it as a surprise. Just like Tori Amos, who's a solo artist but who can play one tour with a full band, another with her three pianos only, or the other tour with 2 guys, .... And it's never written beforehand. You know it if you look for the information, or you wait for the surprise of how she chose to present her music to you.

Anywooo. Still no Europe tour announced yet? :mrg:
