Went to see them twice in Brussels at this very cool venue called 'the Botanique' which has this dome kind of room, really up close and personal but still fits quite some people. Crowd went mental. We actually got an encore AFTER the first encore for it!!

It was actually a couple of days after first seeing KT at Werchter when we were doing a high school (bloody hell that's a long time ago!) theatre thing, and there was another group doing a dance performance to Refugee, apparently. At the time I had no clue about her collaboration with Oi Va Voi yet but I was in the theatre for our general repetition (is that proper english even? ) watching them dance and heard the song the first time and I was just flabbergasted, the first thing I said was: 'that sounds EXACTLY like KT Tunstall's voice'. Then googled the lyrics and whatd'ya know?!

Good to hear of your experiences Kim about Oi Va Voi! I actually already knew of KT when I went to see her support set with that band and it was great to see her onstage with them too. They did Refugee as an encore as well as in the main set with KT making a huge impact. Another really good singer who worked with Oi Va Voi after KT was Alice Gold (previously called McLaughlin) who I have seen live in her own show a few times. Just as a footnote: gigs 1 - 3 in my list were pre her famous appearance on Jools!

Well, after over 12 years of fabulous KT gigs, I have reached gig no. 30 with Manchester this evening. And an added bonus was meeting up with Natalie H among others from the early days of the forum!
