I'm not going to this, but just noticed there was no thread.

Weirdly enough, this is the first to sell out on the tour!

There's something about KT and Cambridge - I saw her here in May 2005 while she was still doing smaller venues, and she headlined the Folk Festival in 2005 too. I guess Cambridge has been waiting 2 years to get her back! I was looking forward to the gig, only just noticed it's sold out already! Guess I'll have to ask for another photo pass...

It was great to see KT back in Cambridge, and back in the UK again so soon :)
Didn't seem like there were many/any forum fans there, mostly sensible 30-somethings.

Yup, I got my photo-pass, so expect some photos soon. Sadly the stewards weren't particularly friendly, so I have lots of brownies to eat ;)

I'll post more when it's a sensible hour, and I've sorted through the photos.

cheers,
Claude :D

So Claude, are you saying that forum members can't be sensible or 30-something?? Hahaha!
I'm so glad you got the photo pass; you have taken some stunning shots of KT in the past.

Here's a late night review by Ian Sale of Cambridge News for those of us who couldn't be there:

"Live review: KT Tunstall
Ian Sale at the Cambridge Corn Exchange

KT Tunstall kicked off her latest tour with a powerful performance in Cambridge on Sunday night.

The Scottish singer arrived on stage shortly after 9pm, boasting that the "Tunstall Circus" was in town.

But she also warned the audience that there might be a few rough edges, seeing as it was the tour's first night.

There wasn't much to worry about because Tunstall confirmed why she is considered one of Britain's most exciting new singer-songwriters.

She opened with Little Favours, from the latest Drastic Fantastic album, and the mood was set for a terrific evening.

The sold out venue's crowd applauded wildly as Tunstall delivered a set packed with favourites from the latest album, and its predecessor Eye To The Telescope.

Black Horse And The Cherry Tree was memorable as Tunstall dubbed herself playing the intricate parts - even if she did have to start things again when the machine decided to play up.

If Only, White Bird and Saving My Face were all excellent.

But just as the night neared its end, Tunstall and her impressive band delivered a superb rendition of Suddenly I See.

Perhaps the night's most complete performance was Hold On, which worked tremendously well with the light show.

A great night.

I went to this concert and found it amazing!
it was the first time i'd been to see KT live, and the songs were fab!
Very cool random fact about polar bears!
It was great when she did Ashes- all the band came to the front of the stage, and i was right at the front of the crowd! woo! :smt023
The other songs that stood out would have to be Hold on, Saving My Face, and Black horse, even though her pedal had a few problems!!
Overall a fantastic night, and can't wait to go and see her again sometime!! :D

Just thought I'd add too that KT was absolutely fantastic - first time I've seen her live & a CD really doesn't do her justice!

Truly the best live performer :D - a christmas present that was well worth the wait!!
