I can't find the computer thread, but does anyone know why i keep getting this message:

Image

I get that and also "Server Not Found" all the time! It's on firefox (my main browser) and internet explorer. I can sometimes get onto some websites (this one seems to work most of the time) but it's completely random. I've done virus checks, everything's up to date but i'm still getting this problem.

CAN ANYONE HELP?? :(

Clare it's dependent on what o/s your using try this fix it works on Firefox

1) go to tools and click options

2) click on the advanced button and then click the network tab

3) then under connections click settings

4) click auto-detect proxy settings for this network.

hope this works for you .

Glad it worked ,don't know why browsers can't auto detect this problem ,there should be a patch that deals with the cache size and proxy ,one of these days I'll write a patch for it ..

Hmm that's annoying it does sound like u may need to delete firefox completely, don't save your bookmarks start fresh again ..failing all that hit it with this ..... it's not constructive but it feels good

Check your firewall and virus settings ,the other problem may well be your router/modem turn everything off and on again this may well solve the problem but it does sound like a bug to me ..

Do you have any problem when connecting to the network or do your headache only start when you try to browse something?

Recently my brother bought a new router and it was all well and dandy until I tried to use the wifi network (it appears to be connected but it doesn't actually send/receive data :?). Till now the only solution I've found is to turn off windows firewall. I know, it is not the ideal solution but it keeps my firefox going

Unfortunately the hammer solution is only good for ultimate security (a dead computer is a secure computer).

Your virus scan software may also have a firewall and most of them do not get along with their own and Windows' firewall.

Is it wifi or network cable to your computer? If it's wifi the router may need to be reset.
