Are you going to be the central point for the cards as well as the cash Nat?

If no-one else is jumping to do it, I'm happy enough to do it.

I love the idea of it being an instrument, but something that's easily post-able is best.

Etsy has other stuff than jewellery, they do some pretty cool hip flasks and other hand made things. I'll have a look when I have a chance.

I like the idea of a book Kim, I wonder if there's any way we could do anything special? Like a first edition or signed by an author of something really cool?

And deadline wise, to be honest I'm thinking a couple of weeks. The longer the deadline the less stressed people feel about doing it and the less likely they are to bother!

All submissions have to be in the post by May 14th. What do you think?

Which means those of us 'over here' need to get on it now due mailing/posting time.

No it doesn't.

As long as everyone worldwide has it in the post by May 14th it'll be finished well in time.

Yes! Something like that sounds great!
It'll be a tough one figuring out what she'd be into though. It'll take some time browsing about online methinks. But we can work on that :smt023

Or how about we get her a kindle? Spreading the kindle love here

But I think there should be some kind of actual gift as well. We really set the bar high with that bracelet last year

The card should be cd-size and made of card rather than paper, right?

I like the card. How about making the charity the gift and include something small and really inexpensive to unwrap like a t-shirt or hoodie from someplace/thing cool? That would be the hard part, getting everyone to agree on one thing.

Whatever is decided, I'm in.

It's just we've always got her something really cool as well as the charity and card 'extras'.

Money wise, are most people pay-paling? Because I don't want to set the exact details for the card thing if a few people were wanting to post the money along with card and we haven't agreed an amount yet.

Nat

I'm certainly good with whatever is decided. I'll do PayPal, its easy for me and I believe easier for you. Those of us stateside though just want to have decent lead time to slow mail stuff your way if that is what is agreed on.

We could set a price of 5 GBP and then see how much we get?

^ I was thinking about an instrument too

Maybe something like this diddley bow? That one has three strings, this has just one.

and this little buddy seems interesting and quite fun to play with, don't know if we can afford it though?

What I like about the diddly bow is the one stringed one, because before she was all like "I'M PLAYING A TWO STRINGED GUITAR". Well play this, smart arse.

The boardweevil is cooooool though. Last year the bracelet was about what, £90? And we still managed a good charity donation.

Random thought, but I can't find anywhere that seems to put my plan into action.

Can you get action figures built?

EDIT: I've found bobbleheads  if it was done really well that'd be pretty awesome.
