I didn't plan a sequel-fest, they were just on TV.

Saw Sister Act and Sister Act 2 (and thought of you! )

And last night: United 93
Most depressing.
So brilliantly directed and written.
But so much tension and emotion.
I was exhausted at the end!

I feel i've scorned you enough for that Nat, so i'll let it go this time.

Awww, i really do love those films! :smt023

As for United 93... I saw that i couple of years ago and i have to admit, after it ended i just sat and wept for about 20 minutes. I'm not exaggerating, I found it so incredibly moving and thought-provoking all i could do was cry, like proper full-on cry, after it ended. Definitely one of the most depressingly impressive films i think has ever been made.

Yeah :-(

I've watched The Lady tonight (about Aung San SuuKyi) and cried. Such a wonderful and brave woman. An example of strength and pacific determination....

WELL. I won't highly recommend it. I found it nice to spend 2 hours realising how much she sacrificed and how important her battle was/is, and Luc Besson knows how to direct, but it's not flawless: a bit long and slightly shallow at times.
In other words, there are other films to give priority to!

I'm pretty sure that's a movie they should pay people to see instead of the other way around!

And I really don't understand the actors in it either, it's basically track record suicide if you ask me...

Dune

The SciFi version.

The more widely shown 1984 version with Sting gets lost in its
darkness and overly done graphics thus obscuring the story, which
it did not follow that well.

Plus SciFi followed up with the 'Children of Dune'

We Bought A Zoo - very well done and surprisingly moving. Even cooler knowing it was based on Dartmoor Zoo too. :D
