Blimey. That's HOT!!

It's incredibly stormy still here. I'm not kidding when I say we had actual HORIZONTAL rain this afternoon.
Do get the most gorgeous skies though. I <3 storms.

14C, cold this morning, sunny until the showers hit this afternoon. In for crap weather over the next few days though - heavy showers, strong winds....argh. Feel like curling up in bed tomorrow, but instead I'll be off to my course....gonna be a loooong day.

Thankfully the weather forecast was wrong for Stornoway on Saturday and therefore it wasn't chucking it down when KT played - it waited until Sunday when Nat & I went walking before giving in and going to the pub and for a curry!

According to the Seattle P.I., we've had 73 minutes of summer so far (over 80 degrees). :?

Your English is EXCELLENT! So good that it surprises me a bit when I see you post/tweet in Dutch!

And your Scottish is far better than mine!

I hardly ever tweet in Dutch as I mostly use the internet to communicate with you internationals :p At home I'd rather just call people up to hang out!

Thanks though :D
I'm aware it's good already, but we've got a Pakistani doctor in our group now at uni who has to follow a couple of our master years to be able to carry out her job over here, and it's really stressed the importance of language for me in a patient/doc relationship in conversation. I think my understanding of English is better than her Dutch though, but still it's really apparent how lots of tiny details can make a difference that you're not always aware of in general conversation. So I really gotta try keep it up and improve even more.
And you know, most of what I know I've learnt from (and stuck with because of) you guys, and I owe you a BIG THANK YOU for that :smt058

:D

Grew up down in Eugene, Ore. An old saying was that if we were lucky, summer would fall on a weekend.
Given that Seattle gets more rain, 73 minutes sounds like you better hurry or you'll miss it.

Here in DC it has hit over 100 (F) the last few days with enough humidity to fog the glasses
when I step outside. Although the news hypes it quite a bit it still doesn't come close for
when I lived in Arizona and Saudi Arabia where 115+ is not unusual for the summer.

IT'S SNOWING! :smt026

Well it's more sleet really but it's a start  To think people were getting stranded because there was a few feet of snow this time last year!
