Holy crap, I'm having the most difficult time reading my prof's powerpoint. I should let her know that brown background with black printings are barely legible, especially when the lights are on. It's like reading something with a piece of paper over it. :x

On top of that she's speaking in sonic speed.

YAYYYYY!

We've inherited the upper sixth common room, which is akin to a bedsit, but also excellent! We all pile in the one nicer room which has 3 sofas & a sofa chair. Yesterday someone brought in their Sega Megadrive, so that was going on in one half of the room, and in the other half we were watching stuff on my laptop which I'd handily brought in for art. We covered the Mighty Boosh, Spooks, Doctor Who, the IT Crowd and a bit of Peep Show! :mrg: Excellent.

There is something sooo novel about watching tv in school on a sofa! I have a 3 hour gap tomorrow too. SPOOKS FEST!

Your common room sounds ACE! We've only got tables and chairs and a few basketballs.

I did try and decorate the walls with random magazine scraps but the EVIL boys teared it down. :(

Our social area was huuuuuuge, held 300+ people but was really dirty cause lower 6th were plebs. We used to watch Jeremy Kyle all the time and then caught the start of Doctors before having to head off. We had a mini canteen too which was rotten

Less than a month till exam results now!

Awww! The lower sixth common room is crap, it's one big room which is cold and echoey and it would be taken over by unsavoury types who found it hilarious to scream at the top of their voices (literally) at each other across the room :?

The upper sixth one we get to paint ourselves and stuff though :D

Yeah! It's ancient, as are the sofas. I don't think there's a tuner either. I think it's all cast-offs from people having clearouts and donating stuff

The teachers threatened to take ours over last year and put us in the staff room, although the staff room was way cooler and had a wee kitchen but we would never have all fit :(

the chairs were the most uncomfortable things ever though but if you turned the tables upside down they were really good for sliding along the floor in :mrg:

I love how school is the only place where it is socially acceptable to do this, and sixth form is the only time you can get away with it! :mrg:

I love it when 5th year try to act like 6th year and get totally ripped apart for it and then the teachers stop and have a nice wee chat with 6th year and buy buns and stuff

our common room had 4 sofas, 3 TVs, 2 gamecubes and 2 pooltables. All donated by randoms.

They got rid of it at the end of our year though, it was all too much. The mess, the noise, the skiving....

What we thought of this can be seen here:
