Yeah, on the Live Show there was only one from KT, two I think from OMD and whatever Noel Gallagher's new band is. And an interview with Noel, which is about as enlightening as you can expect. Probably more from KT on the full show tomorrow night, I'm assuming.

I think you'll find it was Liam Gallagher.

Great performance by KT, looking foward to the new album.

I love, love, love her voice, where's she been hiding all this extra talent?! It's just never ending :D And what an amazing performance of Night & Day.

Having now watched: a-fecking-men to that. I don't know when her vocals have been more clear and pure and unaffected. Her control, her phrasing...just impeccable.

And that's not even the best of it.

She's upped her game in terms of the intangibles like emotional depth, too. Honestly, I have to go all the way back to Sandy Denny for a voice that manages to wind itself deep inside me like KT's. I mean, she doesn't sing from quite the well of sadness that Sandy tapped into, but...she's nearly as good, and has truly raised her bar this year. Yet again.

Once again gobsmacked, and as always a fan for life. Just...wow.

Thanks Aurelia and Kimmy. Nice to 'see' you too. I'll try and email you later (don't hold your breath tho)

Where did KT get that voice from? I just <3 the way she sang Night and Day with Jools at the piano. TBH If I didn't know it was her, I wouldn't have known it was her. :smt017

She did that Night And Day cover in the live shows in November with Jools and it was absolutely stunning.

Two things strike me about all the recent vids of KT performances (beyond the Gobsmacking, jawdropping vocals),

1. Not seeing any looping pedal action. I could never imagine her without it. Now I think she should just toss it altogether although some of her older material might sound strange but it could also make her older stuff more classic sounding. Could it be that looping was actually degrading her ability to focus on that beautiful voice?

2. Unless she is cleverly hiding it, I'm not seeing her looking places for the song words. It's distracting when she either has to hold notes or cheat sheets or stop songs because she forgot the words. I realize the new song videos are professional but watching her "feel the words" adds so much more to her performance. I hope she can keep this up.
