Really stunned by this. I don't know if there's much hope for them being found alive, which is absolutely tragic. Thoughts go to all those affected, truly horrific times.

I've been following this all afternoon. It's really terrible, and almost unbelievable that it can just vanish. I'm just praying everyone is ok, although, well.... it's not looking good. :(

They're talking a lot about it on the French TV, but they don't have more information yet...

One day later, they haven't found the plane and have no real clue about what happened... :?

Quite struck by this, because a friend of mine regularly goes to Brasil... But fortunately he wasn't on the AF447 flight! :)

In these darkest hours, my thoughts go to the families and friends of the victims.

The say Brazilian planes have seen debris in the ocean. Oil, a plane seat and other stuff, but they won't know for sure until boats get there tomorrow. It's really not looking good. :(

They've narrowed it down to a certain amount of square miles haven't they...so sad. :(

An 11 year old boy was travelling alone on the flight :(

i worked with the 3 Irish Doctors at different stages over the last 2 yrs. Aisling Butler still worked in our A+E department she was due back to work on Wednesday i think. it was real comfirmation for staff when she didn't show.can't believe it.
