I found out this morning that my friends in Scotland lost their son last night. They lost their other earlier in the week.

They were due to have twins in just over 4 months.

I can't begin to imagine what they are going through. I've cried for them so much in the past week. They were in the process of picking out baby names, and asked for my opinion just last Wednesday night.

I'm glad that they got to meet them, even if it was just for a short while.

I wish I could be up there, offering my support. But I'm not even sure how I could even help. I'm just hoping everything is okay with the mother, that there were no complications.

How can you feel so much loss for people you didn't even know, or meet? Those two little boys were so loved at just 20 weeks old. I just hope they knew that.



I'm not looking for any response, I just needed to get this off my chest.

Gosh that's so awful Charlotte, i'm so sorry! I don't know what to say. There's no justice in life ending before it's even begun.

Oh, that's sad. I have a friend who lost one of the twins she was carrying. I just can't imagine the grief.

My Dad passed away on 16th March. I don't think it's sunk in yet.
He's had a tough 4 years but the past 6months hade been awful for him. He could barely get two words out without needing oxygen and for being such an active man, he couldn't cope with it very well.
His doctor put him into respite for a week of pain management and a month later he was gone.

Today one of my dogs had to be put to sleep. I have been crying for the past three hours and I'm glad of that because I hadn't really started grieving for my Dad but I think i have now!

I'm not long off the phone to my best friend in the world and feel alot calmer now.


MAN it's been a rubbish year so far but they are both at peace now and that helps me a bit.

and just like you said, knowing they're probably feeling better wherever they are should be a little consolation.






And as for myself, I've lost a very good friend of mine, Sophie.
She was my age and cancer took her life away.
It's been 11 days now.
I miss her badly, her absence hurts but she will be kept in our thoughts and hearts for ever, and she deserves to rest now after a long, painful and draining fight.

OhRay - sorry to hear about your loss too, that's no age to pass away I'm sure you have fond memories of the time you did get to spend with her though

OhRay, i've been meaning to write to you... There's simply no justice in losing someone so young and to such an utterly evil disease. As Andy said, at least you had the happy times together and you can treasure those memories. Big love and strength to you my dear. I'm here if you want to chat. x
