Christmas is going to be a sad time for Kristelle's family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all now.

I was talking to a friend last night about Christmas and he was absolutely not looking forward to it. Hated it, because it reminded him of all the people he had lost.

Then he told me about going to a cousin's funeral earlier this year, she passed on well before her time also. He dreaded the funeral but it turned out to be a celebration of her life, and that made it easier to cope with, and the family drew great strength from it.

As he talked about it, he turned round to me and said, "maybe that's what I need to do now. I need to find reassurance in the people who loved me, and keep them in my life in a positive way, rather than pushing them away and feeling angry at them for leaving me. They made me who I am today, they gave me a lot and I should remember that!"

I hope it works for him. And for others too. I remember people, but I think about things that we did together and it makes me feel a lot better, I still miss them terribly, but I can be thankful that I had them in my life and it helps.

Remember.... cry a little... then embrace their memory and smile.

ps.... music can be a great healer!

Thankyou for this touching and well said post...

I remember we had just got back from Skye Festival and were full of the glories, and this huge black cloud had descended over the board - it was surreal. I remember how difficult it was trying to work out what had happened, and who it had happened to. And I think it is important to remember exactly how it felt when we did find out. And then fast forward to what her family must be feeling day in / day out...

Just went over to Kristelle's myspace profile. Her title "Seize the day", always brings tears to my eyes.

Wise words, live by them.

Funny how reading something like that can give you head-to-toe goosebumps.

Wise words indeed and words i bet we all wish we lived by more.

My Great Aunt Marjorie passed away on Wednesday, I learned yesterday. She was like my third grandparent and quite the family character. If you could remember her in your thoughts, I'd appreciate it.

Sorry to hear about your loss Mis, my thoughts are with you. I lost my Nana quite a long time ago, but she still spends a lot of time with me. I got all her letters out at Christmas and had a good old cry. There's a lot I'd like to share with her and a lot of new people in my life who I would have loved her to bits.

Its nice to see people popping in here every now and then and remembering Kristelle. Despite what we see on the news, it reminds me that there are nice people out there!

Be happy and live every day to the max :)
