I was lucky enough to attend this. Won tickets through TeamTunstall....I'll start by saying it took place at Apogee Studios in Santa Monica. The room itself was so incredibly small. Seriously, the most intimate show that I've ever attended. About 100-150 people. Her voice was fantastic and her wit, well we all know how that is...hilarious. Between her set she did an interview.

Of course she messed up Old Man Song. Couldn't remember the lyrics at the beginning, exactly as she did at Glasto I believe. Was hilarious. Third time she still got em' wrong, but just went on with the song. Yellow Flower and Crescent Moon live are just jaw-dropping, seriously. I was put in a trance. State Trooper was so fun. Her vocals were on their top game. When she played Scarlet Tulip, and briefly talked about the ep, I was the only one that new about it and let in a quick cheer. We exchanged a smile, I'm sure she recognized me.

Before she played Yellow Flower she said her usual banter regarding her taking years of piano lessons and yet hardly writes on it, i.e. most expensive songs you'll ever hear. Then said that at a show that her parents attended, forgetting they were, she said something along the lines of, "Thanks for all the *beep* piano lessons dad!" and then quickly heard him shout from the crowd, (and she yelled this in an old man voice) "What about all the *beep* flute lessons!?" HILARIOUS. Laughter quickly ensued and lasted for sometime. The show in its entirety was an hour and a half. Unfortunately, I didn't get to hang around for a chat, but snagged a setlist.
Can't wait for October!!
