Haha... STPK, if I hadn't been on such a high from just seeing KT's gig, I may have had more shock at the sight of Brandi Carlile but it was so unexpected and I was so busy relishing the awesomeness of the gig I was able to be "normal"

That was fun. I like seeing Brandi in fan-girl mode.

Stay tuned folks, the party rolls on in Ireland on Thursday!

So I arrived in Dublin yesterday morning to visit my sister and her family, right? It’s pure coincidence that KT happens to be in Ireland for the next three days, right?

The adventure here always begins with the rental car drive on the WRONG side of the road from the airport to my sister’s house. I really don’t understand why the Irish continue to follow this crazy British practice. I am absolutely positive that driving on the left side of the road is more intuitive.

I’ll head up to Belfast in a few hours for KT’s gig at Ulster Hall tonight. Anyone know who is opening for KT for this part of her tour? Brian Lopez was terrific but I’m pretty sure he didn’t make the trip. As an aside, does anyone else agree that Brian's music is much more dynamic live and solo than on his CD with a backing band? Actually, I feel the same way about most of KT’s Invisible Empire/Crescent Moon songs but we can have that discussion later.

Fantastic review Lisa! Tinged with a butt-load of jealousy though i have to say because i was THIS CLOSE to coming over for those shows. But c'est la vie, next time! Love the Brandie story too. Maybe you should get her a nutjob sticker for her guitar or something?

So happy you've all been able to experience these wonderfully intimate shows though. Aren't they just something else?! KT is definitely reaching new levels of awesome.

Thanks Titch! You really should have come over for the tour. It was fab! I know that is a really far way to travel for shows and the logistics can be overwhelming. I do hope you are able to work that out next time. If I can ever help you figure things out all you have to do is ask! I couldn't agree with you more about new levels of awesome. I really don't know how KT does it and why she isn't selling out massive venues. She is like no other.
