Dunno if a mod should be starting this thread but it might be handy to have somewhere to give feedback on the design or point out any bugs? :) I guess this might still be a work-in-progress with one or two things still to iron out...

- When I'm replying to a topic, there's simply some text saying { MESSAGE_HISTORY } - instead of the previous posts like on the old design
- Also (as has already been pointed out), it would be very handy to have 'Mark Forum Read' and 'Mark All Forums Read' buttons back

And a plainer background :p I'm fine with a header, but I do not like that picture :smt102

Oh, and some topics are in blue text, some in white. I can't see why. All my topics are read but some are still different. Doesn't seem to be popular ones etc, just random

Hoping the pages will load a bit more smoothly in time.

TBC.

I really like it! :D

A "mark forums read" option would be really handy though.

I love the new look!

Some of the topics i've read still look like 'unread'. The 'mark topics read' is a good idea, and also all the post box have different sizes, like the part of the avatar, if you know what I mean.

And once again, as we had to ask after the last redesign:

Bring back Ask Meggles!!!

Also, the "Active Topics" link is now gone, which I used a lot, though the url it linked to, search.php?search_id=active_topics does still work. Link was awful handy though.

I am liking the new look overall though.

Oh, and "View Your Posts" link is gone now too. Honestly, that and "Active Topics" were my main views on the Forum. :smt018

I like the new design, but i see some "strange" things about fonts...

For example, our usernames (except mods & administrators) appear in white (same as other texts)

And the quotes... I'm quoting you Patty as an example:

The part "Pisquita wrote" is too dark... it's hard to read who is the quoted member...

Oh yes, very. Don't like that *at all*.

Another difficulty:

Space for posting is wider than before... now we have to scroll right and left to read complete posts...

But we could upload bigger images from now, i don't know... some signatures now appear modified with this new design

That's weird. For me, the posts are narrower than before. But I think this is why, off the top of my head: I think that before, there wasn't a set width, and posts would just be however wide your window was. They looked wider for me because I usually browse full-screen on a wide monitor. If I happened to resize the window, the forum would resize with it. Now, the forum seems to be a set width instead, so it looks *narrower* to some but *wider* to others.

I prefer the free-form width, but I suppose they felt they had to make it static to have it match the background image.

Yeah, def a set width now. Much narrower for me.

I just realised I can ad block the background image so I don't mind anymore :p

I still prefer the original design. Also, I don't like the fact the picture of KT in the background suddenly stops after a few messages, leaving us with nothing. Just have nothing I say, or at least a continual fancy design.

Saying that, I do like the width of it, it seems to read easier.

Where has the View New Posts gone? :(
Also you can't tell which page you are on because they are all white.

I like that the posts are narrower, and black and purple is nice :D

I generally like the new design, but the user's name next to their post seems to be a bit small... also, there's no way to tell what page you're on in a multi-page thread.

It's a real drag that James isn't around still - it doesn't look like we have a 'direct line' (so to speak) to someone who can make changes to font colours/re-add Ask Meggles etc. any more!
