Thought I'd draw attention to this - KT mentioned at the Theatre Royal on Sunday that she'd got the first copies a few days earlier, and they are on sale at shows and online only. Here's the link to the store: http://kttunstall.sandbag.uk.com/Store/DII-1633-5-neon+vacant+headspace:+poetry+by+kt+tunstall.html.

She did warn that some of them are a bit weird, and having read them I can say that it's true - but it's still great and interesting to get to read some of her poems :smt023

Would it be improper to ask if you could quote some of the cool and weird tidbits so I can get a sense of the prose?

Well the very first one's called 'Unusually Clean Nails'...

Quote:
Look-
I have unusually clean nails.
Usually, it seems I have
Dragged my fingers
As if clinging to life
Whilst tied to a medieval cart
By the feet
Along a filthy cobbled street.

The crap engrained in the gap
Between nail and skin
Right in the microcosmic canyons
Great glaciers of cack
Unmovable, dusted with lighter dirt.

Don't even talk to me about white shirts.

Weird...

I thought I'd have some 'light' reading on the plane home... But I didn't get ONE out of the 25
I really need to sit down on a Sunday afternoon with a huge dictionary and a wild mind to try and process these!

Does anyone else think it seems more personal in poetry form than lyrics?
