Discussion on the video documentary available with the deluxe version on iTunes.

Much like the actual album, this video is depressing the hell out of me .

What makes me a little..uneasy? Is that it seems every album she is dismissing the last one. Like "this is the first album thats been properly me" whereas Tiger Suit was supposed to be the first album where she did exactly as she wanted. And Drastic Fantastic was the first album that captured more what she was like live. They're all good and they're all different but I wish she wouldn't just disregard the last album every time she makes a new one

Yeah, I noticed that too. The only thing I can offer is that seems to be common among many creative musicians. Bob Dylan had that habit in his earlier years ("This album is truly who I am..." - 5 albums in a row.)

You can look at the opposite extreme where Malcolm Young of AC/DC once said, "You'll love our new album, it sounds just like the 15 albums before it!"

I think KT goes through phases, just like anyone else. Just be glad she never followed through on that remix album (and then state this is "properly me".)

Well, at least she's not re-styled herself as "Sylver Tongue" and declared her previous output to be a closed book she'd not be performing any more. :-D

(Mind you, not that Chaz's Sylver Tongue stuff hasn't been worthy, but New Worlds in particular was a hell of an album....)

I'd have actually liked the KT remix album if it had just been a side project and not a new major album.

I wish artists would stop dismissing stuff that I like

After hear the album thousand times, i get the feeling that she's not well. And it's not just about her father death and the divorce, i mean, of course they iniciate this whole thing... But (and this will be strange) what I feel hearing this album it's... A little bit of madness. Like KT is a little bit insane (not in a clinical way) I really bet she did something crazy and ask for divorce and now she don't know what to do. That's what the album give me the impression for.
The video only makes my theory stronger. Maybe an affair with the producer? LOL
ANYWAY, I love the album, i do prefer uptempo KT,but, she's an artist and the thing I like the most is that, every album it's different. So let's wait another 3 years and hope she gets better.

 Me neither!! I like the 'not in a clinical way' bit, basically in this message it only seems to mean she's not yet been admitted but there's certainly a reason to do so
And the affair bit :smt005

But seriously Spike, I really don't think there's a reason to worry this much about KT, I'm pretty sure it's not that bad  :smt052

Even if she had affairs and is having a moment of some sort of out-of-mind experience, so what? What major artist has not gone a bit south at some point along their creative adventure? She is human and has the same frailties as everyone else.

Yeah I know, perhaps I've expressed myself in a wrong way. I imagine Kt in a sort of mid life crisis (I know she's only 37). I know she is well (not a clinical case LOL).

Sorry to sound raggy mate. I think you just overblown what I see is normal human transition and frailties. None of us are immune from that. :smt008
