Different from general favourite song as we know the songs usually get a bit of a boost live, or are altered after a while.

Again, it changes. But the one I'd pick right now is The Entertainer.

This performance in Dublin is one of the best times I've ever seen her. Mad chills.

But it's also absolutely amazing with a band 8)

And while I wasn't too keen on the original track itself, Beauty of Uncertainty with a band and a loop pedal is a thing of..well, beauty.

For me, probably Fade Like A Shadow. There's just something about belting out the chorus that I love! :D

I love the full band versions of Little Favours and Beauty of Uncertainty. And if she ever comes back I'd love to hear the ST ep on its entirety.

I think probably Mini D's at Leeds Uni in 2007 was my favourite live with the full band....so it was nice to have it back on the 2011 Solo Show.

Beauty Of Uncertainty - camp fire tour - Pittsburg 2008. KT extended the last part of the song for what seemed like forever. Absolutely love the song ever since.

False Alarm from the 2011 tour with the epic instrumental ending. I still get goosebumps when i hear it. Beauty of Uncertainty from the same time gives me a similar feeling, but i don't remember her playing it as much.

Also the version of Black Horse into Seven Nation Army when she starts it herself with Wee Bastard and then the band come in for the rocking end. Awesome every time! :mrg:

That would be my choice too!

And Nat, thanks for pointing out the Entertainer, it was lovely to hear it again. I must confess I had forgotten about this song!

Not surprised because the content fits more to a live act than listening to it alone with your headphones, I think.

BHATCT on the Austin City Limits show from 2005, which features the Baby Please Don't Go integrated bits. Actually the whole four song set was awesome but you won't find it anywhere but on coughtorsnifflerent.

I've still not settled on a single favorite live song, but blimey, "Favourite live version of BHATCT" could be its own thread topic! ;-) That one would be right up there, but I actually favor the Soundstage version of same, at least as the best full-band version of it, with Glasto 2008 which was kind of a solo/band hybrid as a close second. And really for me it would have be subcategories: best Wee Bastard version of BHATCT would probably be Taratata, with Minneapolis 2011 in second, and not just because it was the one I was actually in the room for: it had Seven Nation Army, and KT was really, really *on* that night!

Right, of course not got just 'one', but should I have to pick a few:

1. Beauty of Uncertainty, band version. I remember so clearly during the Hammersmith gig in '08, I felt like I was in some sort of dreamworld, SO incredibly haunting and beautiful, amazing. Still impressed thinking back! :smt007
2. Saving My Face/SIS/PTKA/Madame Trudeaux/Uummannaq Song. In no particular order. Part jumpability, part energy, part seeing the band have fun on stage :D Maybe I'd even say FLAS belongs here too, even though I'm not that much of a fan of the song just for listening from the album, every time she plays it live she wins me over and has me think 'crap, this actually is a really good song after all!!'

 That would've been a plausible explanation I guess, but really, just the snake hips wouldn't do the song enough justice though!
