:mrg:

So I was (one of the) lucky ones to be picked. We were only 4!!!

I still can't believe I was lucky enough to be chosen...

IT WAS BLOODY AMAZING!!!!

She did 2 songs acoustic, just her, the guitar and her voice (Feel it All which was goosebumping) and Invisible Empire which I heard entirely for the first time and fell in love with (beautiful bridge).

We were 4 winners (me included) and alone with KT (along with the crew). A very special moment and KT was sweet and adorable, just like always. Awww...

Very intimate. This is what it would feel like if she comes and play in my livingroom. LOVE IT! :mrg:

When she entered the room, she said Bonjour to everyone, and I said a simple "salut", always wondering if she'd recognise me... She proved me wrong because she hugged me right away and told me she was happy to see me again. After the hug, she told me "so you have two kids now?!" which I found quite scary... how can she knows/remembers that?! And I told her she was creepy

Funny because one of the girl who won the competition asked me "but how do you know her?!?".
Just said that I only saw her "a few times" 8)

KT took time to take pictures with us and we chatted a bit after the two songs.
I checked with her that she was "doing ok" because of the sadness I felt off the new songs. She laughed and said that she is doing great
It seems that it was very easy and quick to record the album, that it did help her in some way, but that now when she plays the songs, she's not in the same place, and it's not hard or sad.

She was really happy to play at the Minack Theater but really nervous because it was her first date for the tour

She will be playing with a band for festivals and alone for the tour from what I gathered
She wants to come to Paris but no date scheduled yet (email to management has been sent by me right after, so you guys, fear not ).

She has a brand new guitar she played the two songs acoustically with, customized with the red and white stripes you can see on the website.

She was really lovely because she asked if we could come for the recording of the interview as well, but in the end we couldn't because the room was too tiny (and the journalist didn't seem keen to have other people with him).

I was so happy to see her again :D
What an adorable person.

And her voice sounds beautifully with the new tunes

I am so impatient to see her live again!

ps: she still smells heavenly. Told her that too

Glad you got to go. When she's in Paris, it'd be a shame if you couldn't be there. :D

Thanks ladies!!! :D

First time I win something and I didn't need to bribe or threat

So happy I made it, even though I got worried at some point it was taking more time than I thought (I was supposed to be working and it was 35-40 min far from my work!)

When KT said "aren't you supposed to be working?" I told her I got a bit worried because of the "they don't call me late Kate for nothing" but that it turned out alright  To which she added that she'd improved herself lately...
We only had to wait half an hour :-p

I'm still very hyper about yesterday

And I don't stop thinking about all the things I should have told her, gaaaah

One of the crew guy took some pictures and they asked for our email address, so hopefully I'll be able to post some here at some point! :D

so glad you got to ask her about this. It was 'bothering' me a bit to think she'll be miserable performing those songs :?

Thanks for the review!

Your welcome! and thanks for the comments :-D

She looked genuily happy and excited to perform the songs live.
I double-checked twice if there wasn't any danger the songs might take her "back" to were she (her feelings) was, and she looked really cool about it!

I received the photo of KT and me made by the photographer.
I look awful so I'm not going to share

Great! Now I can listen to the album and watch her live performances guilt-free

But seriously, if this album is helping her to get over, in some way, the sad bits of 2012, I'm really happy for her <3

Thanks again Aurelia! :smt001

Thanks for the report, OhRay! I remember being impressed by her memory, too...I think I just said "scary" to her. I'll forgive you for not posting the photo. Half of mine don't get posted for the same reason. How does she always manage to look so good? :D
