How do you get the bonus content from the CD? I've put it in the computer but nothing's happened.. I remember for DF it came up with an opendisc link when you clicked on the CD but it only has the tracks showing this time...

You have to go to http://www.kttunstall.com/bonus and then it verifies your CD is in your computer by some weird technical magic

Cheers for the link, because not having the CD I hadn't had the link, and when I went to it I discovered that it also will work if you purchased the album from iTunes. Has to be done on the computer on which you actually first purchased and downloaded the album, I think, but it worked.

My mum's had a listen to the album and has taken a similar view to me. "It sounds like one big long, really boring track"

I'm having problems with this too.

For some reason my cd doesn't want to verify. It says "Please insert valid disc and press retry below"

I do that and nothing. Tried two separate browsers. I got an alert from my java software saying that the software is malicious. Weird. Tried reinstalling java and same thing. Contacted tech support and they don't know what's going on either. Anyone else having problem verifying their cd?

:?

Nat, hang in there and give it time. 6 months from now would be sufficient to make a final statement on this work. :smt023

Vinyl arrived today....

Seems easier to listen to the album in this format, the snap, crackle and pops seem to suit the songs.

I think next week's gig will confirm whether this will be a mood album or not.

I am surprised how many people who have previously ridiculed me for liking KT's music are now coming up to me and saying they like Feel It All and were impressed by her Jools performance.

I'm not putting that much effort into listening to an album which I don't like.

I tend to agree.....this new album is not my cup of tea.
I know that KT's personal difficulties over the past year had a big influence on the songs but I don't think any length of time will change my opinion.
Will have to pass on this one...sorry.

Geez...really? What, two, three listens and that's all you need?

It doesn't matter who it is. I never call a final declaration on any album for a few months but that's' me.

I will likely purchase the basic version from iTunes just to validate my disinterest in KT's catharsis.
Kind of like taking a taste of the milk in the bottle even though it clearly smelled spoilt.
12 hour road trip to ChiTown and back ...... nope!

It's not working for me? It says 'Please wait - Loading software' and that's where it just stops. Doesn't go any further! :(
Nevermind whether I choose the cd or iTunes option... Tried it on safari and on firefox, installed the latest Java plugin and nothing! But the problem doesn't seem to be the verifying as it starts loading software...

Personally I'm loving the album! Invisible Empire and Feel It All have been in my head for days!! It's another different direction, yes, but the majority of the songs are catchy and clever and I'm really enjoying them.
I also agree it takes a lot longer than 2 or 3 spins to fully judge an album. I find my opinions of albums are ever-changing. To me this album further demonstrates KT's diverse talents. I like that she's focusing more on her vocal capabilities, that was the standout thing for me at the Minack gig. Her voice is actually incredible! :mrg:

I either like something or I don't, I form opinions very quickly and pretty much always stick to them.

I've heard some of the new stuff live but we'll see if any more tracks grab me next week.
