Was listening to it this morning in my hungover state. A couple of ok-ish songs but for the most, totally not my bag.

Just gave it a first listen - I adore it! Favourites for me are No Better Shoulder (love how it builds up!) Crescent Moon and Waiting On The Heart. The album certainly shows off her voice more than anything she's ever done, and I love the raw feel to it. Totally worth the wait!

During the waiting for it to get to my mailbox I'm buying the two extra songs of the deluxe version via iTunes. I find it quite unfair that I can't buy the documental "Tucson Time" if I don't buy the whole album. I bought the physical thing!! If only they had released a physical deluxe version I wouldn't be complaining!

Just had to say it

Hear hear. :( I splashed out on the CD today at HMV, was a teensy bit disappointed there wasn't a two-disc deluxe edition I could pay £5 more for. (seriously!)

I plan to purchase it today in store. Very excited!

I was also going to purchase a copy on iTunes as I heard it was supposed to come with a film, Tucson Time, but for some reason the Canadian store doesn't have it :(

I hope that they eventually do.

Just listened to it in full, and was pleasantly surprised at some of the songs. I don't Feel like it's an album that I'd listen to much, just because I wanted to listen to some KT, it is a good album to cry to though, if you're feeling upset, or emotional!
I feel like the album is a really fitting tribute though, and has some beautiful lyrics, that are really poetic, like 'no better shoulder', what good lyrics.
The ones I'd listen to more than a few times are
Invisible empire
Carried
Waiting on the heart
( feel it all )
I think I have missed one out
But the others, I think I'm going to emotionally psyche myself to get into the zone to listen to ( not in a bad way not good either) and that is coming from a person who listens to really boring slow people.
So, that is my review from the first listen. My views will probs change though.
Did I come across negative?

No I'd say this is a really fair opinion to take away from it.

I know what you mean about it being a good emotional album but I'm no longer into sitting listening to music that makes me cry. I'm not 14 anymore .

Finished listening to the album just now.

WOW!! I love it. It's a more chill, relaxing record and I think it's a nice change. I love her up tempo stuff too but this is the perfect evening album.

I can't wait to go outside one night with it on my ipod and listen to Crescent Moon. So beautiful.

My top 3 are:

1. Invisible Empire
2. Yellow Flower (very Beatles/John Lennon to me)
3. Crescent Moon

I also loved the variety of instruments and sounds on the album. :smt041

Honeydew has a nice melody, but 'chimes' is really strange!, I wonder if she will ever sing at live? And in 'no better shoulder' dosen't her voice sound different!?
