I want to hear what that "Fireworker" tune might sound like these days.

I hope KT wouldn't go to Arizona and record with/for Howe Gelb, just to put out an album full of songs that have already been performed live and prevalent on web videos. I want new stuff, never heard (exception would be Invisible Empire which I assume was part of her timeframe with Howe.)

But that's surely your own fault for scouring the web to find videos of new material? It's not like she's released several singles off this album before it comes out or anything.

She always tends to 'test drive' songs live ahead of an album release. I think most people do?

I have not listened to any of the songs mentioned on this thread so I am really excited. :smt041

Thanks for the possible list Nat.

Same here... thanks for the list, Nat.

Talking about the non-album songs: I would love to hear the studio version of Fireworker as well as Hollywood Hills.

Poison In Your Cup = Dirty Water disguised

Surprisingly enough, I haven't listened to any new songs. Managed to stay away from YouTube and bad recordings. So it'll be brand new material for my ears!

I wouldn't call Dirty Water, Poison Cup or Firewalker modern or new "test drives" when they have been floating around youtube for 2-3 years now. I'm actually shocked to hear some say they have never heard the songs when they have been repeatedly talked about on other threads.

Where were the test drives for TS? I don't believe there were any (outside of Madame T at a festival). So when that album came out, wasn't it cool listening and discussing?

Besides, I think KT has gone beyond needing to perform test drives when Howe Gelb is producing. JMO.

I thought you were meaning the list I'd posted rather than the likes of Dirty Water.

When Tiger Suit came out, Difficulty and Lost were the only songs I hadn't heard live before.

Also, a lot of her songs are reworked, DF was a lot of old material but it sounded different to the original versions.

Nice version of Difficulty... thanks for the link.

Nat, I heard the title Away Game. Do you think it's gonna be on the new album?

This article is about Fly Festival (February 16), but the last paragraph talks about upcoming album:

Quote:
There is a lot cooking at the moment for the singer. She is in midst of releasing her fourth album which will be ready for release in the Summer of 2013. “This was one of the fastest albums that I have recorded. It consists of live tracks that have been recorded using the tape machine. It was like going back to olden times,” she states. And here is another piece of information, KT is all set to release poetry that she has been writing for the past 10 years. “This is stuff that never turned into lyrics and I hope to release it for my fans.”

Thanks for that link! Love that the album's tracks will be all live, looks like we're going to have Acoustic Extravaganza Vol. 2! Fascinated by the poetry thing as well, this should be a good year for all things Tunstall :D
