Is it sad that radio presenters text me or tweet me to tell me when they're in a coffee shop and KT is playing?

That depends, if they were like, Jo Whiley-big kind of presenters I'd be inclined to say it was rather interesting maybe

If Jo Whiley were tweeting me (I'd need Twitter first of course) I'd be a very happy man :smt007 (Perv Thread moment again!)

Matalan music is HORRENDOUS.

On the flip side, they have pretty decent office clothes

The first time I heard a Muzak instrumental cover of Neil Young's "Heart of Gold," I died a little inside. Abomination doesn't even begin to describe it.

Here's one for you... I go all the way to the US, first ever trip outside of Europe in all my 31 years, to see Lindsey Buckingham's tour. I remember thinking it seems strange now doing a run of gigs that aren't KT! Travelling around Connecticut with a friend and get to Danbury where my hotel was, but I need directions to the bus station for the following day. She stops for fuel and says I should ask in the station shop for directions. I go in and as soon as I walk through the door 'Come On, Get In' is playing on the station shop radio! And it's the actual song, not like in supermarkets where 'KP Tunnocks' has to cover the song to avoid royalties or something. So instant Tunstall with Hatherley on backing vocals there!

Later that day I'd found my bus station, hotel, freshened up, headed back out to Ridgefield to the gig venue and met a whole bunch of lovely folk. In fact, six of us decided to go for a meal together before the show (ended up being eight of us, aren't folk nice?!). So someone picks a restaurant they know, we walk in... as soon as we walk in, 'Black Horse And The Cherry Tree' is playing in the restaurant!

Two out of two Tunstall... Connecticut lurrrrves yew.

Well I didn't hear it.....

But one of my younger friends who has just toddled off to Uni FB'd me to tell be he had heard "the one and only Tunstall in a club, yes, a life defining moment!". Didn't think KT was club material?

I didn't know whether to post this in the obsession thread because a friend decided to let me know where KT's music had been played when he doesn't give two hoots about her :smt017

Again a bit left-field....

Last night at our local annual beer and music festival POCKTOBERFEST (its in October and in Pocklington)....the final band NeoSoul covered BHATCT.

I was the only one doing the three-clap beat
