The Jools performance is 4:07 on youtube. The Taranta performance is 4:47. I think the Austin City Limits is the longest but I don't recall hearing the Baby Please Don't Go addition to what I heard so it wasn't that one.

I'll admit, did not sit there with a stop watch. I just know it was live and it was a longer version and what a treat to hear that beautiful voice filling our hallways. It was the first time I heard any song of hers played on our work system. :smt023

On the album it's 4.47, and in the notes it definitely says it's from Jools. :smt023

Whichever it was though, it's cool that you heard it. :D

It just dawned on me. I never heard Jools voice (the one Nat loves so much.) :smt005 Did they edit his voice out on the record version? The applause was pretty long at the end too (and he would have started talking on the TV performance.)

Instrumental SIS was used in an interview with Bradley Wiggins on the BBC's Olympic Breakfast this morning.

I am still hearing SIS 3-4 times a day on Wal-Mart commercials. I don't want to pick over Lady T's income but this must bring in some serious $$$! :smt017

It saddened me a little to hear KT SIS on the Walmart commercial. I really really don't like Walmart or the Walmart effect on local shops. I can only hope that working with Walmart can afford KT the ability to come back to the US for another tour. It seems she only plays in the UK these days. :(

Lisa, I feel the same way. While I respect the fact that some people really can afford to shop there because of their own limited budgets, I avoid the place myself. Sam's Club too. I can afford the few cents more and would rather support a shop that treats its peeps better.

I caught a post on FB where she answered someone's question about this. Basically KT said she didn't know as much about Walmart as she should have and that she was especially bothered about the meat commercials. She is trying to adjust her contract.

She's made a few comments about Mars Curiosity recently, so I posted to remind her about the shadow photo contest she had when Fade Like a Shadow debuted EONS AGO -- that she needed to re-award top prize to Curiosity rover. Got a reply four hours ago ..... "Quite! X"

One can only hope her contract is structured on a renewal basis so she could do this. But I am skeptical that Walmart would have any contract where a vendor or artist had any control whatsoever (and yeah, I'm clouded by my own cynical views of Walmart.)

I'm seriously concerned that this song could evolve into "the Walmart tune." That is...everyone that hears the song will think of Walmart. You have to be an old guy like me to remember the Doors "Touch Me" was used in Tide detergent commercials and to this day, when I hear the last three notes of the song, I always think of the line "TIDE, tougher than dirt!" Ugh!!!

I would like to think KT wouldn't have gone into this contract had she known about how a fair percentage of the population view Walmart over here. Makes me wonder if they purposely went after a Euro artist for this reason.

Hi Linda! It's good to "see you again". I'm glad to hear that KT has issues with the Walmart contract. I think I must have missed out on the Fade like a shadow photo contest because I don't know anything about that. It sounds interesting though

Maybe you missed it because you were busy falling in love, Lisa. :D

I don't remember that Tide commercial, but I sure hope SIS doesn't become the Walmart tune! Eek!

You have to be, at least, 50 years old to have heard it as a kid. :smt043

The other day I was in Home Depo and KT singing Hazel Black came on while I was on the phone with my wife. I yelled "Holy Crap! They are playing Hazel Black!!!" I then told random people including the woman who worked there that it was a great song and I was thrilled to hear it. She looked at me like I was crazy. I explained it wasn't one I've heard anywhere except my ipod. I was so proud! I got the chills:) I'm considering the right time to see if KT would like to appear on my podcast "Never Gets Old" on iTunes and Podomatic.com:)
